Write for us
We welcome pitches that bring a fresh, well-defined perspective to coastal sport: its games, places, equipment or community traditions. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting a finished article.
What makes a strong pitch
Tell us the central question or idea, why it suits Coastal Sport Culture and what a reader will take away. A focused subject with a clear angle is more useful than a broad survey of coastal sport.
Topics and voice
We are interested in accessible explanations, thoughtful comparisons, sporting history and close attention to the character of a place or practice. Write for curious general readers: explain specialist vocabulary, avoid unsupported claims and make clear when a custom is local rather than universal.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page to share a short pitch and a brief note about your approach. Please do not include confidential information or assume that a proposal has been accepted until we respond.
Place changes the way a game feels
A stretch of sand, a harbour wall or a salt-air ground gives sport its own setting. We look at the customs and choices that make coastal play distinct.
